Liver and Pancreas
The liver is the body’s “cleaning station”, while the pancreas plays a key role in digestion. In this category we have selected herbs for the liver and pancreas that folk medicine has traditionally used to support their normal function.
- Toxiclean – with milk thistle, perhaps the best-known liver herb;
- Antitoxin – a combination of milk thistle and dandelion;
- Dandelion – with dandelion leaf;
- Urtikatrin (nettle), Potentilla (cinquefoil), Tonus (ginger and turmeric), as well as Cystoclean, Mountain Tea and Women’s Care.
For herbal tea lovers we offer dried herbs: milk thistle seed, dandelion leaf, nettle leaf, agrimony, cinquefoil and broadleaf plantain. They are a convenient way to bring herbs into your daily routine, for example after a heavy meal.
The best support for the liver is still moderate eating, limiting alcohol and staying active – the tinctures only complement these habits. If you have a liver or pancreatic condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.
FAQ
Toxiclean is a single-herb tincture with milk thistle (118 mg of seed per 1 ml). Antitoxin combines milk thistle (70 mg) and dandelion leaf (67 mg) per 1 ml. If you prefer a single herb, choose Toxiclean; if you are looking for a combination, choose Antitoxin.
The tinctures are water-alcohol extracts, and a dose is 20 drops (about 1 ml) diluted in a glass of water, 3 times a day, so the amount of alcohol is small. If you need to avoid alcohol entirely, choose the dried herbs for tea instead, such as milk thistle or dandelion.
The duration depends on the product and on individual needs. See the instructions for use on the product page and do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you take medicines that are metabolised by the liver, discuss taking herbs with a doctor or pharmacist.
