Detoxification
After the holidays, heavier meals or simply at the change of season, many people look for a way to give their body a break. In this category we have gathered detox herbs that folk medicine has traditionally used to support natural cleansing processes – the work of the liver, digestion and the excretory system.
There are three tinctures here: Toxiclean with milk thistle, Antitoxin – a combination of milk thistle and dandelion, and Cleansing, which brings together dandelion leaf, green walnut hulls and cat’s foot. Milk thistle and dandelion are among the best-known herbs associated with the liver, while walnut is traditionally used for intestinal balance.
If you prefer tea, browse the dried herbs milk thistle seed and walnut leaf. They can be part of a light spring or autumn routine, combined with more vegetables, water and exercise.
The body has its own cleansing systems, and the best support for them is a balanced diet, limiting alcohol and tobacco, and enough sleep. Herbs are not a substitute for this lifestyle. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a liver condition or take medication, consult a doctor before you start.

Herbs associated with the liver may, in theory, affect how the body processes some medicines. So if you take medication, discuss with a doctor or pharmacist whether a tincture is suitable for you and which one.
