Heart and Circulatory System
The heart works without rest, and caring for it starts with our daily habits. In this category you will find herbs for the heart and blood vessels that folk medicine has traditionally used to support normal heart function and circulation.
- Crategi – a hawthorn berry tincture, perhaps the best-known “heart” herb in Europe;
- Geranium – with wild geranium root;
- Rutin (calendula and bilberry), Melissa, Astragalus, Agrimony and Cleansing;
- the “Healthy Heart” package – 4 Crategi tinctures and 4 Geranium tinctures.
We also offer dried herbs: hawthorn flower, wild geranium root, astragalus, rosemary, turmeric, lavender and St John’s wort. Bear in mind that rosemary has a stimulating effect and, according to its contraindications, is not suitable for people with hypertension, while St John’s wort interacts with many medicines.
Food supplements do not treat cardiovascular disease and do not replace treatment prescribed by a cardiologist. If you take medication for the heart, blood pressure or blood thinning, do not start taking herbs without consulting a doctor. Exercise, healthy eating, not smoking and regular check-ups remain the most important care for the heart. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also consult a doctor.
FAQ
The package includes 8 herbal tinctures – 4 bottles of Crategi (hawthorn) and 4 bottles of Geranium (wild geranium). The tinctures are taken as 20 drops (about 1 ml) dissolved in a glass of water, 3 times a day, 10–15 minutes before meals.
Hawthorn may interact with some heart and blood pressure medicines. Therefore, do not combine Crategi with medication without the explicit approval of your cardiologist or GP. Herbs do not replace prescribed therapy.
The duration is not the same for all products. See the instructions for use on the product page and do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you have a heart condition, discuss taking the herbs and for how long with a doctor.
