"Herbal tincture MYRTILIUM" contains one of the oldest known medicinal plants. Bilberry grows in sparse coniferous and deciduous forests and shrublands (most commonly spruce, pine and beech), on rocky and stone meadows, high mountain pastures and peat bogs. It is found in all high mountains up to 1800m above sea level (in Western Bulgaria and some high fields below 1000m). It occurs throughout Europe. Bilberry is known for its medicinal applications in:

  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • inflammatory processes in the oral cavity

Black and blue blueberries possess a true wealth of antioxidants. Even their bright, saturated color alone is enough to support this claim. Anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins are found in greatest abundance. A significant portion of these is preserved even after freezing or drying the berries. They also contain a substance called pterostilbene, which is chemically and functionally very similar to the well-known resveratrol. The wealth of antioxidants is complemented by quercetin, kaempferol, and other flavonoids. All this impressive content helps destroy unnecessary and cell-damaging free radicals in the human body. It works wonderfully in regulating blood sugar and arterial pressure. It powerfully improves cognitive functions of the nervous system, stimulates muscle tone, and promotes quick recovery from stress and fatigue.

FAQ
