Small-flowered willowherb is successfully used for complaints related to prostate and urinary tract. The active ingredients of the herb work on several levels on the prostate gland: they inhibit the multiplication of epithelial cells, block the enzymes 5-α-reductase and aromatase, which convert testosterone to dihydrotestosterone or estrogen (one of the main causes of prostate hyperplasia). Bladder inflammation manifests as a sudden, uncontrollable need to urinate. Often it is the result of a bladder infection, bladder stone, or difficulty urinating caused by an enlarged prostate gland. In many cases, the cause cannot be determined.
The symptoms of bladder inflammation in women, men and children are mostly identical. As a rule, bladder inflammation causes frequent urination of small portions, which leads to a feeling of pain and burning. The urine becomes cloudy and develops a sharp unpleasant odor. In frequent cases, a small amount of blood is observed along with urine. With bladder inflammation, there may be weakness and pain in the lower back.
