Small-flowered Willowherb (Epilobium Parviflorum L) is a perennial herbaceous plant from the Evening Primrose family (Onagraceae). In our region, it grows in moist areas such as meadows, clearings, along rivers, in the Vitosha, Rila and Pirin mountains at altitudes of 1400 - 2500 m. The herb is known by the names: Ivan tea, Russian tea, Koporye tea, Men's herb. The usable part of the plant is the aerial part - the stem. They are richest in: oenothein B, tannins, flavonoids, vitamins A and C (6 times more than lemon), caffeic chlorogenic acid, ellagic acid, quercetin and kaempferol. Thanks to its active substances, the herb has diuretic, bactericidal, cleansing, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving effects. Beneficial for conditions caused by the "Escherichia coli" bacteria, which traditional medicines cannot handle. Our fertile land has given medicine some of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world.
