Wild pansy (Viola tricolor L) is an annual herbaceous plant from the Violet family (Viola). In Bulgaria, it grows in rocky, dry places, fields, meadows and shrubs, in plains up to 1000 m altitude. The usable part of the plant is the aerial part - the herb. They are rich in violaquercetin (rutin), vitexin, isovitexin, saponins, flavonoids, scoparin, saponarin, essential oil, tannins, mucilaginous polysaccharides, vitamins, and others. Thanks to its active substances, the herb has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic properties. It helps liquefy bronchial secretions.
Wild pansy is used for:

Can be used for making tea, baths, inhalations, poultices, or various types of extracts (tinctures).
Steep 2 teaspoons of the herb in 250 ml of boiling water. Once cooled, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times daily.
