Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a biennial or perennial plant from the family of dill, parsley and carrot. It is widespread throughout the country and in almost all vegetable gardens. It is also known as: Pharmacy dill, Wild fennel, Fennel and Swind. The usable parts are the fruits (seeds). They are rich in essential oil (up to 6%), anethole, flavonoids, proteins, sugars, coumarin, etc. Thanks to its active substances, the herb has expectorant, laxative, and appetite-stimulating effects.
Fennel seeds are used for:
